I haven't completely lost interest in participating at SO, but I am mostly just thankful they don't delete all of the old "closed as not constructive" questions because they are some of the most helpful content on the site. The community wiki feature would be a better technical solution for questions that are a bit too subjective.

But then there's the proliferation of SE sites with ambiguous/overlapping subject areas and only a handful of users. I'm solidly in the "don't give a shit" camp for those.
