I'm almost finished with "The Art of Unix Programming" by Eric Raymond, and I have to say, I wish I would've read it years ago.

We constantly, I mean constantly reinvent things. Not just tools, but techniques and patterns. I'd love to talk to some older developers about this -- or read a good blog.

You want to make your way in the CS field? Simple. Calculate rough time of amnesia (hell, 10 years is plenty, probably 10 months is plenty), go to the dusty archives, dig out something fun, and go for it. It's worked for many people, and it can work for you. - Ron Minnich
