I find the pragmatism worthy of praise. I've been meaning to start blogging since forever but I keep planning and researching about blog platforms/tools and never get to the point.



Making use of existing tools and being able to manage their shortcomings is an important engineering skill.


WP is a never-ending source of security vulnerabilities. 30% of the internet runs on it.

I found Jekyll and never looked back.

In case you genuinely missed the point: he was saying that the person is a great engineer for not wasting their time optimising irrelevant details like their blog. Time allocation is an optimisation problem like any other.

He was the head of the engineering team. He didn't go into a cave and come out with completed designs...


Who gets credit for a really good movie?


…the people who made it? I know none of us sit through the credits, but I can assure you they do typically carry on rolling for quite some time.
