For one, the longtime top editor and editorial visionary Chris Anderson left in 2012 and there has been a bit of a revolving door for top leadership since then. I bought some copies of the italian version a decade ago... It was maybe 2010 or 2011.

It wasn't really interesting. It pretty much along the lines of "hey look at this problem... and how technology will definitely fix that in the next years!".

At the time it was some form of fanboy magazine, totally looking away from the problem that technology was causing.

And that was before the mess that the last decade has been.

I still greatly enjoy the feature articles in Wired, especially the stories that are more in the true crime genre about hacking or mysteries.

I've been reading it for about seven years and I'd actually say it has gotten better - i.e. fewer listicles. I might be in the minority, but I prefer reading the print version of the magazine.
