Methods for predicting "drivability" or "clearness" of roads based on moving object detection are not different than what I said and are not novel in R&D / literature or practice. I'm asking for exactly that, absolute conservatism first.
In my opinion, autonomous driving should be highway only, daytime only until proven effective in mass produced vehicles. The hype about rushing to level 5 is marketing, not a feasible technology roadmap.
